Wearhead Primary School Animation

Artists Emma Boor & Rachel Clarke worked with juniors to present parallel journeys from today and their ancestors in 1849 who emigrated to America. We visited Killhope on Monday 2nd for a show about a STRIKE in the dale in 1849.

On Tuesday we had a visit from Dawn Slade at Durham Records Office who showed us the Graham letters. On Wednesday we made our own modern day story of going to California and an 1849 story. On Thursday we made puppets and backgrounds, we rehearsed our lines and we animated our work.

On Friday we showed friends and family all the exciting things we had done that week and here it is for you to enjoy.
