Janet Curtis's Artwork

Janet has been busy responding to the information we have been discussing and creating amazing illustrations. She has taken her inspiration from the local environment, archive material, written accounts of emigration journeys and documents such as letters. Here are some of her examples.

Hi,

Would be great to show Janets artwork inspired by the Westland ship on my blog about the ships maiden voyage in 1879.........any chance?!

I've been sketching, researching, taking photos and experimenting with materials ... soon it will all start to come together.
