Hello,
I'm off to Durham County Records Office today to look at some archives of Wolsingham from the 1940's.
A survey was carried out to find occupations of persons over 15 years of age. I hope that this will reveal two things: occupations relating to quarrying, unusual (possibly foreign) surnames.
Hopefully this will reveal some useful background for work with Wolsingham Primary school later in the year.
